When Warren and Deb reached out to me for their wedding photography at Kudhva in Cornwall, I was beyond excited.

After a fun video chat, I was blown away by their ideas for a festival-style wedding at a glamping spot. Imagine live bands, wristbands, and glitterballs in a stunning, private location. Sounds dreamy, right?

I arrived the night before, just after midnight. After chatting with Warren about the big day and helping a couple of party-goers find their way to bed, I headed to my Kudhva cabin for some much-needed sleep. Little did I know what a treat awaited me when I woke up!

The Venue - Kudhva, Cornwall

Kudhva, meaning "Hideout" in Cornish, is nestled in an old slate quarry. Spanning 43 acres of off-grid shrubland, forests, and fields, it’s a unique wedding venue.

This place is proudly off-grid, using nature for all your needs. It's not your typical wedding location. With Tipis, Kudhva cabins, tree-top tents, and the incredible Danish cabin, it offers a variety of accommodations for guests.

There was even a space among the trees for the stage, providing shelter from the unpredictable Cornish weather. On the day, they decided to hold the ceremony in Kudhva's old Cornish mining building. As I said, this isn’t a traditional wedding venue, and Warren and Deb are definitely not your traditional couple.

The Couple - Warren and Deb

Warren rocked his outfit with his Sparklebutt trousers, a Phixx Clothing shirt, topped off with a cowboy hat and sunglasses. He looked like a festival headliner—super glam and just too cool!

Deb matched Warren's vibe with a bespoke white gown adorned with stars by Jennifer Blake and some rockstar pink sunglasses. Later in the day, she pulled out a custom denim jacket that was simply perfection!

The Wedding

The weather was doing its usual British summer dance—sun one minute, rain the next. But instead of panicking, these two just rolled with it like they were at Glastonbury! The entire campsite, or should I say festival grounds, was decked out with Deb's handmade creations, adding to the Woodstock vibe. Who needs predictable weather when you've got wellies and a good sense of humour?

A witty and beautiful service took place in the old mining building, followed by the festival's opening act. During the breaks, we explored various locations, soaking up the sun whenever the clouds parted, all while gazing at the sea.

As the day unfolded, the bands played their sets and then mingled with the guests. It was a real community of artists, performers, and live music fans. The speeches were made from the stage, and the emotion and love in the air were palpable.

Then, the party kicked off with a DJ set that went late into the night. After all, when you’re having a festival, you want to rave into the small hours, right?

Take a look at the photos, get inspired, and remember: this is a perfect example of doing your wedding your way.

Capturing the Moment

As a wedding photographer, my goal is to capture those raw, real moments that tell your story. I thrive on the energy of unique weddings like Warren and Deb's. Every couple has their own vibe, and I’m here to showcase that.

Whether it’s the laughter, the tears, or the wild dance moves, I want to immortalize it all. If you’re looking for a photographer who gets it—who understands that your wedding should reflect your personality—look no further.

Let’s create something magical together!
